About You
You will directly influence the wellbeing of young clients and adults as a Counsellor. Your role involves supporting clients through individual and family counselling/therapy, assessment, and identification of needs, formulating and case-managing wellbeing, promoting interventions, and report writing and referrals.
Plus:
- At least 6 months of experience working as a social worker, counsellor, or psychotherapist
- Strong empathy and understanding
- Ability to build and maintain relationships between children, parents, and families in the community
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with Youth Mental Health
- Team player with ability to work independently
- Ability to provide Police Checks and WWCC
- Triple Vaccination Status
Your Responsibilities
- Provide focused counselling interventions based on developed treatment plans
- Complete and document comprehensive assessments and reports of support needs, areas for development, strengths, and current capabilities
- Develop, complete, and implement recovery plans to assist participants to meet their psychosocial and functional goals
- Provide training and support to other support providers to implement relevant plans
- Ensure professional and ethical management of client caseload
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time
- Collect, use, store, and disseminate information daily
- Maintain documentation in accordance with relevant legislation requirements and policies and procedures, including but not limited to, case notes, medication records, behaviour charts, medical and personal profiles, and reports pertaining to the progress of people we support, as well as organisational information required
- Maintain Professional Registrations, Working with Children Check, and a clear Criminal Record.
Key Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience working as a social worker, counsellor, or psychotherapist
