Job Title: Senior Grants ExpertJob Description:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Grants Expert to facilitate and support our Research Office in driving outstanding research outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive category 1 funding strategy, partnering with key stakeholders to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute targeted strategies to enhance the quality of external research proposals and success rates
  • Provide expert guidance and support to researchers, members of the Research Development team, and senior executives on category 1 matters
  • Collaborate with key partners to develop and implement a successful category 1 funding strategy
  • Nurture relationships with funding agencies, particularly Australian Research Council (ARC)
Requirements:
  • A postgraduate degree or equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training, and experience in research administration
  • Demonstrated track record in working with researchers to develop successful category 1 schemes, with experience in ARC schemes
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with a range of Australian competitive grant schemes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
