Job Opportunity: Fabrication Assistant

The role of Fabrication Assistant is available at our Manufacturing facility in Brisbane. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained.

About the Role:

This hands-on position involves inspecting metal components and kits for quality assurance, managing inventory levels, and maintaining a well-organized workshop environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines to create a safe working environment.
  • Inspect metal components and kits to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of materials to local sites and the Assembly facility.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop and warehouse, including unloading containers and managing stock levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with stocktakes and cycle counts, and record data accurately.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Keep accurate records of quality inspections, deliveries, and stock levels.
  • Operate equipment safely, such as forklifts (with a valid license), and perform heavy lifting when required.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a workshop or fabrication setting is desirable.
  • Familiarity with quality control and metal fabrication principles.
  • A current driver's license and forklift license are essential.
  • Comfortable using inventory systems like Cin7 or willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg and handle physical tasks.
