Job Description
- Assessments and Reporting: Assess workers with physical and psychological injuries to determine the best way to help them get back to work. Complete workplace assessments to identify physical and psychological demands of roles and develop tailored rehabilitation plans aimed at achieving sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
- Case Management: Provide clinical opinions and justification through report writing. Complete Activities of Daily Living Assessments, including coordinating services and equipment prescription.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with and oversee other practitioners, taking ultimate responsibility for delivering injury prevention services, such as pre-employment assessments, job dictionary development, interactive manual handling training, stretching and warm-up programs, and workplace-based ergonomic assessments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A can-do work ethic and positive mindset.
- A flexible and proactive nature.
