Job Details

The role of a Casual Educator involves providing nurturing care and support for children, creating a safe and welcoming environment, and planning fun and inclusive recreational and educational activities.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of school-aged children, while also building strong relationships with families and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support for children, including planning and delivering engaging programs and activities.
  • Create a safe and secure environment that promotes children's physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to a supportive team environment, sharing knowledge and skills to achieve the best outcomes for children.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines would be desirable but not essential.
  • Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • A passion for the education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning Framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire.
  • Effective oral and written communication within the workplace.
