Senior Cyber Security SpecialistAbout the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join our Energy Markets Cyber Coordination team.

Job Description:

This is a senior-level role that requires the ability to lead and manage complex cyber security initiatives across the energy sector. The successful candidate will have expertise in cyber security frameworks, incident response, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Lead the delivery of high-impact initiatives to enhance cyber security maturity and capability uplift across Australia's energy sector.
  • Collaborate with government authorities, industry participants, and academia to develop and implement effective cyber security strategies.
  • Maintain contacts and engage with stakeholders to identify and address emerging cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
  • Delivery and ownership of complex outcomes in support of the Energy Markets Cyber Coordination team's responsibilities relating to cyber maturity uplift.
  • Maintain and enhance the frameworks used to inform cyber security maturity uplift across grids and markets.
  • Coordinate research activities on emerging issues affecting energy grids and markets.
  • Promote a shared understanding of the cyber threat environment.
  • Support review and refinement of sector-specific cyber maturity frameworks and reporting on security preparedness of the sector.
  • Assist in the development of supporting materials and presentations.
  • Coordinate internal and contracted resources to deliver objectives.
  • Support Manager, Energy Market Cyber Coordination in reporting on progress against initiatives and other duties as required.
