We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Domestic Assistant to join our team at Southern Cross Care. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered domestic services and support to assist clients to remain living in their own homes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing domestic support services such as dusting, polishing, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming of floors, removal of rubbish, cleaning bathrooms and toilets, and laundry services.
- Building relationships with our clients, understanding their individual needs, goals, and aspirations, and promoting and enabling our healthy and active ageing approach.
- Working independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality services to our clients.
You will be required to have a current and unrestricted driver's license, own registered and insured car, and a first aid certificate. Additionally, you will need to have impressive interpersonal and relationship-building skills, a good level of English literacy, and a basic understanding of the requirements to support clients living with dementia.
