About the Job

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Portfolio Accountant to join our team in Sydney, NSW. The successful candidate will work closely with JLL Property Managers and clients to deliver timely and accurate property accounts for Australian-based property assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with JLL Property Manager as the key finance liaison.
  • Evaluate and ensure adherence to relevant Trust Accounting and Property Accounting policies and procedures, including any client-specific regulations.
  • Participate in regular finance training sessions to maintain knowledge.
  • Present comprehensive financial reports for assigned portfolios.
  • Closely collaborate with property managers to finalize month-end reporting, including variance analysis against budget.
  • Process journal entries and reconcile balance sheets.
  • Create IFRS rent smoothing and incentive amortization journals.
  • Analyze and resolve annual tenant outgoing recovery discrepancies and coordinate with outgoings auditors as required.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting from a reputable institution.
  • Possesses at least 4 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting within the property accounting domain.
  • Is a certified public accountant (CPA) or holds part-qualified status.
  • Has prior experience in MRI property accounting, which is beneficial but not mandatory.
