Job Overview

Forklift Mechanics play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of material handling equipment. In this position, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on forklifts and materials handling equipment to guarantee optimal performance and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of forklifts and materials handling equipment to maintain their operational capacity.
  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify mechanical issues with forklifts and other related equipment.
  • Performing replacement of faulty parts to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Maintaining accurate service records and documentation for easy reference.
  • Communicating with customers regarding service needs and repair updates in a clear and concise manner.
Key Requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with forklift maintenance and repair.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Hands-on repair and replacement of parts for forklifts or similar equipment to ensure seamless operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to accurately diagnose and repair complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with customers to provide timely support.
  • Able to maintain accurate service records and documentation for efficient reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Relevant certifications or training in forklift mechanics are an asset to the role.
