About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team at Calvary Mt Carmel Retirement Community in Maitland, NSW.

As a key member of our Leisure and Lifestyle team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging programs to meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement activity programs that promote social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation for residents.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify resident interests and preferences, and use this information to inform program development.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a high level of resident satisfaction with programs and services.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and programs.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Leisure and Lifestyle or a related field (e.g. Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle).
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
