About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Specialist to join our projects team at Iluka. This is a permanent position based at our Perth Projects office, with regular site travel required.

The successful candidate will provide contract expertise and effective contract formulation, negotiation, and administration. They will also provide guidance and advice to Contracts Officers and Administrators in the execution of the Company's commercial contracting and associated processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide contract advice and support to Officers and Administrators, as well as project procurement personnel and others, in the preparation, execution, and management of all Iluka contract requirements.
  • Develop contract-based commercial solutions to improve Iluka's objectives.
  • Run high-value tender and Request for Proposal (RFP) commercial programs, including final negotiation and recommendation to award.
  • Deliver total lowest cost solutions by negotiation with existing contractors for variations.
  • Formulate, draft, and finalize commercially and legally viable contract-based business solutions.
  • Monitor and manage contractor performance.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commercial Law or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the preparation and management of a wide range of contract types and applications.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience, preferably in a mining industry context.
  • Practical experience in the use of contractual documentation in commodity, service, and project-type contracts.
  • Demonstrated and effective experience in the formation and post-contract administration of Concrete and vertical SMPEI construction contracts.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills.
  • A sound understanding of practical commercial, legal, and risk aspects of contracting.
  • Understanding of policy and process controls and their application.
  • Effective management and resolution of contract-based business problems.
