Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Senior .NET Developer to lead our technical team. This is a role for a self-directed engineer who can navigate ambiguity, challenge conventional approaches, and deliver innovative solutions in a microservices ecosystem.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the decomposition of legacy monolithic applications into modern microservices architecture, designing and implementing scalable microservices using .NET Core/.NET 6+, championing best practices for distributed systems, deploying and managing containerized applications using Azure Container Apps, establishing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps (AZDO), mentoring team members and driving technical decision-making, and proactively identifying architectural improvements and advocating for technical excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Distributed Systems: Deep understanding of distributed systems and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) including patterns (event sourcing, CQRS, saga patterns)
  • .NET Ecosystem: 5+ years of experience with .NET ecosystem (C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+) and strong understanding of SQL and relational database design and development
  • Microservices Architectures: Proven track record of designing and implementing microservices architectures
  • Azure DevOps: Strong experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and project management
  • Container Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Azure Container Apps or similar container orchestration platforms
  • API Design: Experience with API design, message queuing, and service mesh concepts
  • Terraform: Experience with Terraform for managing infrastructure in a scalable and repeatable way
  • Front-end Frameworks: Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Monitoring and Logging: Awareness of monitoring, logging, and secure coding practices to ensure system reliability and security
  • Australian Working Rights: Must have Australian working rights (citizen or PR)
