Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced electrical maintenance specialist to join our team in a full-time role at our seafood processing facility.

In this critical position, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes by performing preventative and scheduled maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.

About the Role
  • Perform routine electrical maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults, applying your mechanical expertise to assist trades teams as needed.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC and SCADA-based systems, network cabling, variable speed drives, LV power distribution, and instrumentation.
  • Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with relevant safety standards and procedures.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all processing equipment operates reliably and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Australian Electrical Licence/Trade Qualification + full working rights.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • FMC/manufacturing experience with food processing equipment knowledge.
  • LV/ELV troubleshooting & ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Safety-first mindset and strong commitment to compliance.
  • Team player who works autonomously and drives improvement.
  • Flexibility for on-call/overtime.
  • Pass a pre-employment medical/drug test.
