Job Overview

The role of Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is an exciting opportunity for skilled tradespeople to work on a diverse range of heavy vehicles, including trucks, buses and construction equipment.

This position involves performing a variety of mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks, working in a fast-paced workshop environment. About the Role

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on heavy vehicles, including brakes, steering and suspension systems, electrical faults and driveline repairs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised qualification in heavy vehicle mechanics or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably with a strong background in truck or bus mechanics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
