Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day financial activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and debtor/creditor reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including taxation, BAS, superannuation, and payroll reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit requirements and liaise with external auditors.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Support management with financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA/CA qualified (or working towards) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
