Job Title: Senior Natural Gas Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to fill a senior role within our gas team.


About the Role:

This position requires advanced judgment and analysis techniques for system design, implementation, and technical analysis.


  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate project phases independently with other disciplines and management staff.
  • Mentor junior staff members and provide technical review of their work as needed.
  • Identify, develop, and gather resources necessary to complete assignments.
  • Monitor progress against the project plan.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have experience with Natural Gas Piping or Process Piping and be familiar with 49 CFR part 192 and referenced codes such as ASME BPVC, B31 piping codes.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D modeling skills such as Plant 3D in AutoCAD and ability to interface with designers.
  • Ability to oversee integration of multi-discipline models and CADD coordination to generate drawing sets.
  • Familiarity with Caesar II piping stress analysis as applied to B31.8, B31.3, or B31.1 piping.
  • Hydronic system design and selection specification of pumps, boilers, control valves, pipe sizing, and associated safety systems.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of engineering discipline with proven ability to apply best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency with computational and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation).
  • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and understands business practices and laws related to engineering.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to adapt style to suit various audiences.

Salary Range:

$95,000 - $111,000

Salary based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
