We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Swim School Instructor to join our team at Canterbury Bankstown Council.
About the RoleThis is a casual opportunity to work with our multi-venue programs, teaching children and adults the lifesaving skill of swimming. As a Swim School Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering swimming lessons in line with our Swim School Instructor Manual, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver swimming lessons to children and adults in a group class environment
- Set up and pack up equipment in a timely and safe manner
- Participate in Swim School Team Member in-house training
- Demonstrate ability to swim 25m Freestyle, 25m Backstroke & 25m Breaststroke
- Teaching experience and ability to communicate effectively with students
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Current Working With Children Check Clearance number
- Current Swim Teacher accreditation from Royal Life Saving, Swim Australia, AustSwim or other recognised licence provider
- Current CPR certificate
- COVIDSafe Requirements: Candidates 18yrs of age must have 3 COVID-19 Vaccinations. Candidates under 18yrs of age must have 2 COVID-19 vaccinations and receive the booster upon turning 18.
- $35p/h + 10.5% super
- Penalty rates earned on weekends
- Ability to apply for higher hourly pay rate after 12 months of employment
