Cardiac Physiologist Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Specialist Cardiac Physiologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of heart health.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patients and operate cardiac ultrasound equipment to obtain accurate images and information for medical diagnosis.
  • Interpret requests from referrers, identify patients correctly, and investigate their medical history.
  • Document patient conditions, deliver high levels of patient care, and demonstrate commitment to building satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Build strong relationships with referrers, explain procedures, and provide instructions to patients in clear terms.
  • Work closely with managers, cardiologists, and staff to ensure quality standards and a safe working environment.

About You:

  • You possess sound clinical skills in cardiac ultrasound and can provide guidance in complex situations.
  • You have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of diagnostic echocardiography principles and technology.
  • You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated on cardiac ultrasound techniques.
  • You excel in patient care, showing a friendly, sensitive, and professional approach when dealing with patients.
  • You have proven experience working in a team environment, adapting quickly to changing routines and priorities.

Your Qualifications:

  • You hold a postgraduate qualification in cardiac ultrasound and are registered with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry as an Accredited Medical Sonographer (Cardiac).
  • You hold a current Basic Life Support/CPR Certificate.
