Job Title:

Product Visionary

The Product Owner is a critical position that requires collaboration with Business Units to identify and prioritise GenAI use cases. This role will lead squads of multi-disciplinary colleagues who are passionate about GenAI, ensuring they understand the product vision, roadmap, goals, plans and expectations.

As a Product Owner, you will work closely with squads to define and plan work, achieve prioritised use cases and business outcomes, while adhering to quality controls and stakeholder management processes. You will be the voice of the customer/colleague, ensuring GenAI outcomes are fit for purpose and meet target outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Share vision continuously to ensure squad alignment and act as customer and colleague advocate during trade-off decisions
  • Lead progressive elaboration (as appropriate) for experiments, pilots and broader rollout
  • Proactively identify and escalate impediments, fostering a culture of transparency
  • Prioritise delivery weighted to the shortest job first, maximising return on investment and strategic alignment
  • Lead, coach and develop colleagues within squads to ensure strong commercial decision-making and build high-performing teams
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables and issues

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar Product Owner role within preferably AI domain, coupled with experience in Financial Services
  • Experience in product, risk, technical or commercial disciplines preferably in Banking
  • Proven experience working within scaled agile delivery
  • Demonstrated experience with software and product development lifecycle
  • Project management & change execution knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to create and convey a vision to key stakeholders and teams
  • Inquisitive, test & learn mindset
  • Critical thinker - ability to see bigger objectives and design executable solutions
  • Ability to communicate with influence and build effective stakeholder relationships
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline preferred
