Deputy Chief Executive Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, strategic, and values-driven leader to join us in this senior position. This role has been designed with potential for career advancement, offering opportunities for growth and development.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation, partner with senior stakeholders on long-term strategy and transformation, and lead with compassion and purpose to deliver lasting outcomes for women and children.

This is a full-time role, or a minimum 30 hours per week, as we understand that outstanding leadership comes in many forms. We are open to flexible work patterns to ensure we attract the right person.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in a similar leadership role;
  • Tertiary qualifications in business management, quality management, community services, leadership or related discipline;
  • Female applicants only;
  • Current Driver's Licence;
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check;
  • Current Police Check;
  • IT proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, client databases and cloud-based technologies, or the ability to learn these packages.
Selection Criteria

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in a similar senior leadership role, with the ability to contribute strategically and act as CEO in her absence;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and support teams in a trauma-informed environment, fostering a positive organisational culture that prioritises staff wellbeing, professional growth, and high-quality service delivery;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing, and maintaining organisational policies and procedures in line with legislative and regulatory requirements;
  • Proven ability to oversee the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs/services to ensure they are trauma-informed and outcomes-focused;
  • Demonstrated understanding of governance principles, including experience in preparing reports and strategic papers;
  • Experience in financial governance and oversight, including understanding budgets and risk management;
  • Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining a quality management system;
  • High-level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including experience engaging with diverse stakeholders.
