We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our KinCare team in the Maylands area. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Domestic Assistance: Cleaning the home of older people to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping to promote healthy eating habits
  • Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities to combat loneliness and isolation
  • Personal care, including getting customers up, showered, and dressed for the day, managing medications, and assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Respite and emotional support to customers and their families
  • Social support and transport to appointments to ensure timely access to healthcare services
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia

What We Look For:

  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work
  • Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help
