About the Role

RUC Cementation Mining Contractors Pty Ltd currently has an opportunity for a trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Edna May team, located 4 hours drive from Perth to Westonia.

The roster will be 14 shifts on and 7 shifts off or 14 shifts on 14 shifts off, with Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) transport, accommodation, and messing supplied.

Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing and maintaining Underground mobile plant and equipment such as Jumbo's, Boggers, Graders, and Loaders
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting of mechanical faults
  • Dismantle and assemble machine parts, and engines, and replace worn-out parts
  • Conduct routine inspections and schedule maintenance of plant equipment
  • Perform routine lubrication of machine parts, tuning of the engine, and ensure the machines are working to site compliance
  • Provide preventive and corrective maintenance as per maintenance plan
  • Updating maintenance log books in line with company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Certificate III or higher in Diesel Mechanic or Mobile Plant Technology
  • Strong knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Valid Manual Australian Driver's Licence
  • Able to provide National Police Clearance (within 6 months of commencement)
  • Working Safely at Heights
  • Hold current Provide First Aid or ability to complete the course
