Role Overview

Gilmour Space Technologies is seeking a skilled Process Engineer II to join our Launch Operations department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing processes and related infrastructure to support our small satellite launch vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain plant and process to produce materials required for launch activities, adhering to safety legislation and local regulations.
  • Manage and optimize cleaning processes of hardware for use with liquid propellant services.
  • Support external suppliers to improve quality and supply assurances.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to develop and optimize production processes.
  • Provide ongoing technical support of plant and process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Process, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Experience with catalysts and electrochemical production.
  • Working experience in a processing facility, ideally handling dangerous goods.
  • Working experience with relevant Australian Standards (AS4326, AS1894).
  • Ability to obtain NV1 Security Clearance.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with working on distillation.
  • Experience with Hydrogen Peroxide.
  • Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).
  • Ability to rapidly change goals while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
