
Plant Operations Strategist

About the role:
This leadership position oversees effective and efficient plant management across the value chain of planning, sourcing, acquisition, operations, and disposal. Strategic accountability includes fleet planning, plant accounting, and outsourced administration to deliver commercial outcomes and champion values of safety, sustainability, and innovation.
The full-time permanent role offers a hybrid work arrangement with time in the office and remote work opportunities. Based from our North Sydney corporate head office, other locations may be considered for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute medium- and long-term plant management strategies.
- Perform plant accounting, oversee maintenance strategies, and ensure best practices in preventative maintenance procedures.
- Lead identification, evaluation, and implementation of improvements, optimisation, and acquisition opportunities.
- Manage plant asset registers and coordinate activities.
- Provide expert advice on policy changes and legislation affecting reporting requirements.
- Oversee outsourced plant administration tasks.
- Promote customer-centricity, safety, sustainability, diversity, innovation, digital enablement, and business improvement initiatives.
Candidates should possess tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, or a relevant field. They must be commercially astute data-driven decision-makers with a collaborative approach.
A demonstrated experience in an Asset Management leadership role is essential, along with expertise in developing and operationalising fleet management strategies that meet business needs.
Candidates should also have experience in complex matrixed environments, driving strategic business goals, and leading change adoption.
