Environmental Impact Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Impact Specialist to support our Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) rating scheme initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainability into all project stages, ensuring seamless delivery of impactful infrastructure projects.

The Opportunity
  • Support the delivery of IS ratings across transport, energy, and water projects
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to shape future-ready solutions
  • Author and review technical reports covering topics like circular economy, carbon, water, and social impact
  • Represent the organization in external meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and support the development of junior team members

Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in infrastructure sustainability consulting, with IS rating scheme knowledge essential
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of decarbonisation policy, climate risk assessment, and sustainability-related legislation in Queensland and Australia
  • A collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership
