Temporary Part-time Visual Arts Educator

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified professional to cover the teaching position in visual arts for a temporary part-time basis for the whole year.
This opportunity is for a dynamic individual who can make a positive difference to student learning outcomes at all achievement levels. The successful candidate will be joining a Catholic Secondary girls' school committed to providing young women with a quality education that promotes a passion for learning, develops skills for living, and inspires an ongoing search for meaning.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate knowledge of NSW Syllabuses and understanding of the subject's content, creative arts learning, and factors affecting student opportunities to learn creative arts.
- Mandatory Visual Arts - 7-12, Stage 5 & 6 Photography, Ceramics (desirable).
- Design effective learning and assessment tasks.
- Make a positive difference to student learning outcomes at all achievement levels.
- Show sensitivity to the context in which they teach, including technology use, teaching practices, and assessment methods.
- Apply knowledge and experience of effective interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork approaches.
- Work effectively within a high-functioning team sharing a vision for contemporary learning.
- Exhibit high-quality classroom teaching skills enabling diverse students to achieve their full potential.
- Pursue continual improvement of teaching practice through personal and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Accreditation required:
- Tertiary Qualification in Education
- Statements of Service
- Working with Children Check clearance
- Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.
