Role Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of accounting and reporting deliverables, including the preparation of month-end reports on key metrics and delivery to key stakeholders.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation within financial processes and systems.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and accounting standards, maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably within the energy sector. You will demonstrate strong knowledge of financial modelling and data analysis tools, and advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel.
This role suits an agile and adaptable professional who thrives in a varied environment and is passionate about developing new processes and shaping the 'future state'. A bachelor's level qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or an equivalent field, along with a recognised professional certification such as ICAA, CPA, or equivalent, is required.
