This position presents a unique opportunity for an experienced mechanic to transition into a teaching career, leveraging their trade knowledge to shape the next generation of light vehicle professionals.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in automotive light vehicle mechanical technology, with a minimum qualification in this area being required. Dual-trade candidates, particularly those with expertise in auto electrical or complementary trades, will be highly regarded.
As a trainer and assessor, you will deliver training for the Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, using your real-world experience to prepare students for the workplace. This is a fantastic chance to combine your passion for mechanics with a desire to mentor and educate.
">Responsibilities">You will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality training for students pursuing the Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology;
- Assessing student competence in accordance with relevant standards and guidelines;
- Mentoring and guiding students to achieve their full potential;
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments and incorporating best practices into your teaching methods;
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective training programs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A minimum qualification in Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology;
- Proven industry experience in a related field;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
