Job Title: Clinician Lead

We are seeking a Clinician Lead to join our Older Persons Community Mental Health Team in the Swan Hill office. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team providing community based mental health assessment, treatment and support to patients who are aged over 65 years suffering from mental illness or are aged over 65 and suffer from a mental illness complicated by a neurodegenerative disorder and/or issues of ageing and/or severe comorbid physical illness.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals and ensuring high quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with older adults, excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Older Persons Community Mental Health Team in the Swan Hill office
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high quality patient care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the needs of patients
  • Conduct assessments and provide mental health interventions to patients
  • Provide education and training to team members on older adult related topics
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in psychology or related field
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist
  • Experience working with older adults in a mental health setting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
