Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Weekend Cleaning Specialist.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment at our facilities on weekends. This will involve performing various cleaning tasks such as mopping floors, sweeping and vacuuming, wiping and dusting, cleaning windows, and cleaning toilets and toilet facilities.

In addition to these tasks, the candidate will also be required to polish furniture and fixtures by hand or machine, decant cleaning chemicals, operate cleaning equipment, move stock and equipment on site, and inform the Area Manager or Site Supervisor if stocks of consumables are running low.

The candidate will also be responsible for emptying rubbish receptacles, replacing bin liners, and disposing of bagged waste in the correct location. Additionally, they will need to remove litter and debris from external areas of the site and record any communications regarding the client, quality, equipment, or after-hours messages in the Communications Register.

It is essential that the candidate maintains site security and provides excellent customer service at all times. They must also ensure that equipment is used properly, safely, and maintained in good order. This includes visually checking the condition of the equipment before use and promptly reporting any faulty or suspected dangerous equipment to the Site Supervisor or Area Manager.

The candidate will also be required to adhere to safe work practices on site, including using and storing cleaning chemicals in accordance with material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and complying with any site-specific Work Practices relating to emergency procedures or spill clean-up.
