Early Childhood Educator Role

This role involves working collaboratively with colleagues to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all children. As an Education Assistant, you will care for and nurture children's minds, supporting their social, emotional, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Care for and nurture children's minds, supporting their social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve best practice in curriculum planning and documentation.
  • Develop engaging learning experiences that promote children's creativity and curiosity through play-based approaches.
  • Build genuine care and connections with children, families, and colleagues, demonstrating a mature and professional approach.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, seeking opportunities for personal growth and professional development.
  • Present your room as a welcoming and safe environment for all children, ensuring a positive and engaging experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • An ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or willingness to study towards a childcare qualification within 3 months of commencement).
  • Additional Child Protection Training, in line with section 162A of the Education and Care Services National Law and the Queensland Government.
  • A current and State relevant Working with Children's Check (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement).
  • A current Child Protection Training (or willingness to obtain upon commencement).
  • A current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates (or willingness to obtain).
