About the role:

The Process Plant team at Roy Hill is currently seeking a highly skilled Trainer & Assessor Electrical to join their team on a 4 Days on, 3 Days off Roster based at the Roy Hill mine site. Reporting to the Superintendent Training, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing training needs, developing and delivering targeted training programs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role will collaborate closely with operational teams to support workforce development and promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational effectiveness and efficiencies.

Duties:

  • Delivery of existing training modules to maintainers and operators of all process plant electrical equipment, including Siemens, VSDs, protection relays, and HV Switchgear.
  • Upskilling electricians with fault-finding, calibrating instrumentation, commissioning of equipment.
  • Providing knowledge and understanding in control systems, PLCs, with the ability to adapt to site-based software and databases.
  • Contributing to the development of training documentation, safe work procedures, standard operating procedures, guidelines, and manuals.
  • Driving continuous improvements and identifying areas where team members require additional support.
  • Monitoring, updating, and maintaining training needs analysis and records for employees, recording in Roy Hill LMS.
  • Ensuring compliance with Roy Hill safety initiatives, policies, and procedures in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessing.
  • A-Grade Electrical License.
  • Trade Qualification in mechanical/electrical discipline.
  • HV Switching Certification.
  • C-Class Australian Drivers License.
  • Certificate III/IV Instrumentation, High Risk Works desirable.
