School English Curriculum Manager

This role oversees the curriculum development and delivery within the English faculty. The successful applicant will have experience in educational leadership and a deep understanding of issues impacting boys' education.
The position involves collaborating with teachers to ensure course documentation is complete, leading faculty meetings for curriculum development, and advising on assessment procedures and work requirements.
The Key Learning Leader will also oversee reporting and assessment processes within the department according to College policy.
- Participate in and contribute to the Curriculum Leadership Team that meets regularly with the Assistant Principal (Learning) and other KLA leaders.
- Collaborate with faculty staff to ensure course documentation is complete using online resources.
- Lead faculty meetings for curriculum development and delivery.
- Advise on Course of Study preparations, endorsing final products after consultation with the Assistant Principal (Learning).
- Advising on assessment procedures and work requirements, ensuring compliance with Victorian Curriculum, Australian National Curriculum, and VCAA standards, and endorsing final products.
- Work with the Assessment and Reporting Coordinator to monitor assessment input accuracy.
- Evaluate and endorse course descriptions conform to curriculum policies.
- Oversee reporting and assessment processes within the department according to College policy.
- Perform other duties as outlined in the position description.
The successful candidate will have:
- A teaching qualification with current VIT registration.
- Understanding of pastoral care needs of students in a Catholic boys' secondary school.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.
- Experience and understanding of issues impacting boys' education.
- Experience in educational leadership and curriculum development.
- Ability to develop innovative curricular and co-curricular initiatives.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
