Role Responsibilities:

The Production Engineer is tasked with employing systematic methodologies to address challenges through disciplined engineering practices. This role also involves contributing to the development of products and designs that align with EOS's product development objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing engineering support to the manufacturing team.
  • Collaborating with various teams within EOSDS to manage issues related to the integration of new products and processes into manufacturing.
  • Assisting in engineering development to ensure production requirements are identified and addressed during the design phase for optimal efficiency.
  • Designing and developing production documentation, including jigs and fixtures.
  • Creating production procedures for new product lines.
  • Monitoring and analyzing production metrics to minimize the occurrence of out-of-specification parts.
  • Evaluating and suggesting enhancements to production processes and workflows.
  • Mentoring junior Production Engineers to support production goals.
  • Providing production capacity assistance as needed.
  • Reporting any workplace health and safety or security concerns to the Lead Production Engineer.
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures to maintain a safe and secure working environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a production or engineering role is essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and implement business requirements effectively.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams in a structured product environment.
  • A collaborative approach, with excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for engineering.
  • Experience in the defence sector is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical training/experience.
