Fixed Income ETF Trader Role

The Fixed Income ETF Trader is responsible for establishing and running a new trading desk in Sydney, focusing on fixed-income products. As part of the D1 Trading Team, you will build and execute strategies in fixed-income ETFs across APAC.

About This Opportunity
  • You will be responsible for building and executing strategies in fixed-income ETFs across APAC, expanding our existing equity-ETF presence.
  • You will quote, execute, and manage risk in fixed-income ETFs across APAC - both on-screen and OTC.
  • You will collaborate with quants, engineers, and other traders to identify and capture trading opportunities.
Requirements
  • You have 3+ years of trading experience in ETFs and/or Fixed Income within APAC; China Fixed Income exposure highly valued.
  • You possess deep knowledge of bond-market structure and how ETFs interact with the primary market.
  • You have a solid grasp of Fixed Income-ETF valuation, basket construction, liquidity sourcing and creation/redemption mechanics.
  • You are proficient in Python (or similar) for data analysis; SQL or C++ a plus.
  • You possess clear, concise communication style; ability to work closely with quants, technologists, and external counterparties.

  • Fundamental Knowledge: Bond Market Structure, ETF Valuation, Basket Construction, Liquidity Sourcing, Creation/Redemption Mechanics.
  • Technical Proficiency: Python, Data Analysis, SQL, C++.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Communication Style, Collaboration, Teamwork.
