Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solicitor to join our team. As a Solicitor at Collaw, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients, preparing legal documents, negotiating agreements, and representing clients in court.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of matters, including Dispute Resolution and Litigation, Property Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Asset Protection, Family Law, and Criminal Law.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and court pleadings.
• Negotiate agreements and settlements on behalf of clients.
• Represent clients in court, including in trials and hearings.
• Work closely with other members of the team to deliver optimal results for clients.

Requirements

• Admission to practice as an Australian lawyer and a current practising certificate.
• Excellent academic record coupled with strong legal and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to persuade others on both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail, with good drafting and editing ability.
• Strong computer and technical skills, including a strong knowledge of practice management software.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with staff at all levels in the business.
• Ability to handle multiple activities, meeting deadlines, and handle pressures in a fast-paced environment.
