Aged Care Support Worker (Aged Care)

About the role
This is a part-time aged care support worker position based in Sydney's eastern suburbs. You will be providing essential care and support services to aged care clients of Holdsworth, a trusted not-for-profit organisation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Providing personal care assistance, such as help with bathing, dressing and grooming
  • Preparing, serving and assisting with meals if required
  • Undertaking light domestic duties, including cleaning, laundry and shopping
  • Providing companionship and support with social and recreational activities
  • Assisting with mobility, including the use of mobility aids
  • Monitoring client well-being and reporting any changes or concerns
  • Maintaining detailed client records and documentation

**Requirements:**

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support or a related field (desirable).
  • Previous experience providing care and support to the aged, either in a home or residential care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • A caring, patient and empathetic nature, with a genuine interest in supporting the elderly
  • Competent in using technology, such as client management systems
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • A willingness to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays
