About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Statutory Planner to join our APAC Planning team in Brisbane. As a crucial member of our expanding QLD Planning team, you will undertake planning analysis and research, manage projects without direct supervision, and liaise with clients, councils, consultants, and other government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional results in planning analysis and research
  • Manage projects without direct supervision, drawing from SLR's large client pool and your own network
  • Compile statutory approval and permit DA's and major project packages
  • Work across multi-disciplinary projects within a consulting environment
  • Contribute to business development and high-level client relationship management
Requirements
  • A degree in town planning (Bachelors minimum, Masters advantageous)
  • 8-15 years working experience within a consulting business with direct experience in town planning, property, and development
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Ability to work across multiple sectors (Infrastructure, Commercial, Health, Renewables, and Energy Transition) and on interstate projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively within a friendly, supportive, and high-performing team
