Research Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to a Discovery Project focused on understanding the warming of Antarctic continental shelf waters. This project involves using high-resolution ocean – sea ice models to examine mechanisms driven by large-scale processes and fine-scale drivers.

The successful candidate will conduct research in line with the project's aims, collaborating with other postdoctoral fellows and working effectively as part of a team and independently in a research environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research in ocean modelling and analysing output from numerical climate models.
  • Assisting in the supervision of postgraduate or honours students in this project area.
  • Collaborating with other researchers on related projects to produce impactful outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in physical oceanography, climate science, geophysical fluid dynamics, or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience in ocean modelling and data analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently in a research environment.
