Youth Homelessness Caseworker

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people experiencing homelessness. As a Caseworker, you will work alongside young people and their families to break the cycle of homelessness, providing client-centered, strengths-based casework and advocating for their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver casework support to young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, including crisis intervention, support, and advocacy.
  • Develop strong relationships with local services, including accommodation providers, to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Assess and refer young people to appropriate services, including housing, mental health, employment, and educational support.
  • Collaborate with external services, including housing, mental health services, community housing providers, police, hospitals, and other relevant agencies, to ensure wrap-around support for young people.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or a related field.
  • A deep understanding of the challenges faced by homeless youth and a commitment to delivering client-centered support.
  • Proven experience in casework, advocacy, and building strong, trusting relationships with young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of services and community partners.
  • Current NSW Driver's license and a current NSW WWCC.
