Workshop Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Marble is seeking a skilled Workshop Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our Heatherbrae workshop. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy diesel machinery, including UG coal mining equipment.

About the Role
  • 75% of your time will be spent on rebuilds, with 25% dedicated to new machine assembly, maintenance, and repairs, as well as breakdowns.
  • You will work on a wide range of UG coal mining machinery, including tunnelling equipment.
About You
  • You will have a trade qualification in mechanical fitting, diesel mechanics, or light vehicle mechanics.
  • Strong hydraulic skills are highly desirable, but not essential.
  • You will have experience working in a workshop-based environment, with a strong attention to detail and quality of work.
  • You will be looking to further your skills and develop your experience on UG mining/tunnelling machinery.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $54.40 per hour + super for Monday to Thursday.
  • $65.28 per hour for the first 3 hours on Friday.
  • $87.04 per hour for the last 3 hours on Friday.
