About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Business Support Officer to join our team at DFP Recruitment. As a Business Support Officer, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide face-to-face support to customers, answering enquiries, booking appointments, and making assessments on eligibility for payments.
  • Administrative Support: Undertake processing and system entry activities related to customer needs, and provide general administrative support to the wider team.
  • Eligibility and Participation: Manage and resolve participant matters by actioning planning tasks in line with relevant legislation.
  • Counter Support: Provide support for the local office, including participant enquiries in self-help kiosks and online platforms.
  • Communication: Resolve customer enquiries, provide information, and refer customers to appropriate government or community services.
  • Team Support: Manage the team shared email inbox, appointments, and telephone enquiries.
  • Research and Investigation: Undertake research and investigation activities and prepare associated reports and correspondence.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to present with a high level of personal resilience and the ability to deal with emotional and challenging customer circumstances and high workload demands. You will ideally have proven experience within a customer service environment, ideally within a government setting.

You will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Advanced MS Office Suite
  • Office Support/Administration (minimum of 2 years)
  • Strong Customer Service experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • A high attention to detail
  • A strong interest or previous experience with the Disability Sector would be an advantage
