High-Performance Trading Platform Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a High-Performance Trading Platform Specialist.

  • We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in low-level Java development and a focus on tuning for low-latency trading systems.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the FIX protocol and its application in trading environments.

A key aspect of this role is delivering key initiatives related to our Delta 1 flow, including gathering requirements, coordinating with internal teams, developing solutions, and implementing them to support the desk.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ownership of end-to-end delivery process, ensuring timely and effective delivery of projects.
  2. Shaping the platform's architecture to ensure it remains robust and future-ready.
  3. Optimising and reducing latency of the platform to maintain its competitive edge in the market.
  4. Providing second-level production support to ensure high availability and reliability of trading systems.
Requirements:
  1. 10+ years of solid experience in low-level Java development with a focus on tuning for low-latency trading systems.
  2. Strong knowledge of the FIX protocol and its application in trading environments.
  3. Proven ability to work well under pressure, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Experience with automated testing, including building testing harnesses, ensuring robust and reliable systems.
  5. Familiarity with performance testing and market data handling to optimise system efficiency and reliability.
