About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Sustainability and Resource Recovery team as a Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our Sustainability and Resource Recovery Program, delivering programs consistent with our Council Plan, and coordinating all aspects of waste management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Ensuring existing and future waste and resource management projects and programs meet strategic targets and objectives of the Council Plan.">
  • Assisting in the delivery of nominated projects, including the Food Organics Garden Organics Kerbside Collection Service and Wylie Bay Waste Management Facility transition to the new site at Myrup.">
  • Working alongside the manager to deliver shire contracts in relation to waste management while adopting a contemporary focus on resource recovery and sustainability.">
  • This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week.">
    • ">
    • Qualifications in Project Management, Environmental Science, Waste Management, or a related field, and/or extensive relevant experience are essential.">
    • Understanding of legislative frameworks and requirements relevant to waste management and sustainability is required.">
    • Proven ability to prepare and effectively monitor budgets and prepare financial reports is necessary.">
