We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, reflecting the high demand for skilled Emergency Veterinarians in the region.

Job Description

As an experienced Emergency Veterinarian, you will play a vital role in providing top-tier emergency care, working alongside skilled professionals, and collaborating with other veterinary experts to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver High-Quality Emergency Care: Utilize your expertise to diagnose and treat complex cases, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Perform Diagnostic, Medical, and Surgical Procedures: Apply your advanced clinical and surgical skills to deliver effective treatments and interventions.
  • Collaborate with Other Veterinary Professionals: Work closely with nurses, support staff, and other veterinarians to provide comprehensive care.
  • Communicate Clearly with Pet Owners: Provide empathetic and informative updates to pet owners, ensuring they are well-informed throughout the treatment process.
  • Maintain Detailed Medical Records: Accurately document patient histories, diagnoses, and treatments, facilitating seamless communication among healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • BVSc or Equivalent: Possess a strong foundation in veterinary science, acquired through completion of a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered or Eligible for Registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW: Demonstrate commitment to maintaining professional registration and adhering to industry standards.
  • Minimum of 2 Years' Experience in Emergency or Critical Care Preferred: Leverage your experience in emergency or critical care settings to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Strong Clinical and Surgical Skills: Develop and apply advanced clinical and surgical competencies to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to Thrive in a High-Pressure Environment: Excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with colleagues, pet owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and information exchange.
