About the Role

Axe Group seeks a skilled IT Support Engineer to fill its Managed Services team position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing internal and external support requests, ensuring timely updates within defined SLAs, and providing tier two or three support when necessary.

This role requires strong technical expertise, as the successful candidate will be hands-on in resolving desktop issues, performing initial analysis of system problems, and updating applications.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills, enjoy interacting with staff and clients, and have a keen interest in technology.

Responsibilities
  • Manage support requests, ensuring timely updates and escalation when necessary.
  • Coordinate technical expertise, manage communication, and escalate major incidents as required.
  • Monitor system performance, proactively address issues, and report against SLAs.
  • Oversee application deployment schedules and implementation.
  • Collaborate with teams to manage support requests and participate in relevant meetings.
  • Negotiate and manage third-party relationships.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce support requests.
  • Develop and document solutions, create self-help resources, and manage staff equipment.
  • Maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Perform additional tasks to support Axe Group's mission and reputation.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Windows 10/11, MS Office, and general networking and security experience.
  • Linux and scripting (Python/Bash) skills an advantage.
  • Potential for DevSecOps career advancement.
  • Flexible work arrangement, with regular office visits.
