Job Summary:

This role provides opportunities for experienced Occupational Therapists to work with patients living in their communities, delivering home and community-based services that promote independence and prevent premature or inappropriate admission to long-term care. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team providing services to clients across various settings, including the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Your Responsibilities:

As an Occupational Therapist in this role, you will:

  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to clients in their homes, community centers, or other relevant settings
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to address clients' needs and goals, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and interventions to promote functional abilities and improve quality of life
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to organisational standards and guidelines

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Experience in community-based practice, preferably within the CHSP or NDIS frameworks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • A positive attitude to lifelong learning, with capacity to adapt to changing priorities and environments
