Research Director Opportunity

Australia's leading government agency is seeking a Research Director to join their Research and Evaluation Branch. This exciting opportunity involves evaluating a major national research project focusing on developmental delays in children.

The Research Director will oversee the evaluation across multiple levels of the multi-year program, ensuring implementation and scalability, effectiveness, and service integration. Significant stakeholder engagement is required, as well as project management, report production, and presentation.

This role demands strong experience in research or program evaluation, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in clinical research, preferably in allied health, psychology, OT, speech pathology, or clinical trials.

Responsibilities:

  • Scope, deliver, and govern the evaluation process
  • Analyse quantitative, qualitative, and survey data, coordinating other team members as needed
  • Maintain project records and ensure adherence to guidelines, standard operating procedures, NDIS standards, and ethics requirements
  • Prepare and present reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with other teams, designing and conducting research projects as required

Benefits:

  • A 12-month contract with ongoing extensions highly likely
  • Flexibility with Richmond or Geelong location, allowing for 1-3 days in office
  • Daily rate of $602.55 plus super

About You:

  • Strong previous experience as an evaluator or in research or program evaluation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with external and internal stakeholders
  • Experience delivering end-to-end formative and impact evaluations
