Accountant Role

As an experienced accountant, you will deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to our diverse client base. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate tax lodgements, identifying planning opportunities, and helping clients meet their obligations in a collaborative and efficient tax team.

  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other compliance obligations for various clients.
  • Support senior accountants, managers, and directors in delivering advisory services.
  • Build strong client relationships and act as their first point of contact for accounting and tax matters.
  • Communicate with third parties, including the ATO, lenders, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Advise on complex tax matters, including CGT, Division 7A, small business concessions, and tax-effective structuring.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (advisory, investment, legal, superannuation) to deliver integrated advice.
  • Mentor junior staff, review their work, and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation, rulings, and case law.
Requirements

We're looking for an experienced professional with:

  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in public practice and working towards CA, CPA, or IPA.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards.
  • Proven ability to manage complex client portfolios.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commercially minded, proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability.
  • A collaborative and ethical work style, aligned with a supportive and non-hierarchical culture.
