We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our culinary team as Junior Chef Apprenticeships - 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year. This role is ideal for those looking to kick-start their culinary career or continue an apprenticeship to develop practical skills.

Work with Us

You will have the opportunity to work in different kitchens across various venues within our organization. These include:

  • A rooftop bar with a Mediterranean-inspired menu featuring small plates, tapas, desserts, woodfire cooking and traditional methods.
  • A large Italian restaurant serving hand-stretched pizza, pasta, seafood, high-volume dishes in a fast-paced environment.
  • A classic Manhattan-style steakhouse with onsite dry aging and multiple signature dishes using traditional European techniques.
  • A classic bistro with Western and Asian influences offering house-made products and weekly specials.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Chef Apprentice, you will be responsible for handling large quantities of food and seasonal ingredients. Your key activities will include:

  • Food Preparation – chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, measuring ingredients.
  • Cooking – following recipes to prepare a variety of dishes (meats, fish, vegetables, desserts).
  • Kitchen Maintenance – cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
  • Food Safety – ensuring food safety regulations and hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Learning and Development – completing required training modules and seeking guidance from chefs.
  • Teamwork – collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality results.
Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Australian Citizenship.
  • Australian Permanent Residency.
  • New Zealand Passport Holder residing in Australia for more than six months.
